Today I’m drawing from Al Black and Tim Conroy’s Chewing the Gristle again, this time sharing their brief interview with Jee Leong Koh. Jee is from Singapore but currently resides and teaches in New York. In his interview, Jee explains why he had to leave his place of birth in order to birth the poetry he was meant to write, and reads some of the moving poetry from his collections, Steep Tea and Conner & Seal.
